My cool-ish mother let me start a blog today, and I am loving it!!!! Tomorrow I will be going with all my fellow 5th graders to a play - The Phantom Toll Booth. I haven't read the book yet, but I am hoping to read it as soon as I can get a hold on it. (My science teacher wouldn't be happy with all of the "it"s I am using! :) )
I am feeling old. On the 18th, we are getting our 6th grade registration forms. Out of band, choir, or exploratories, I'm choosing band. Guess what instrument I'll be playing? The trombone!!!

Awesome!!! That's the best instrument of all!! I chose it because your mom and dad played it; it served me well through the end of elementary school, middle school, and high school. Good luck and I am way excited for you. I hope you enjoy the Phantom Tollbooth. Love, Auntie Rachel
ReplyDeleteYEAH! Good job, Kim! And way to pick the trombone! While I like orchestra over band, I do love the trombone - I played one in 4th, 5th and 6th grade and my Dad has played the trombone for a LONG time! WOOHOO!! Have a great time at the play!

ReplyDeleteHave tons of fun at the play. My group is rehearsing Pinocchio right now. I heard they bought an awesome 3-foot puppet whose nose grows and everything. We'll see.
As for your new instrument, personally, I prefer a tuba toothpaste...
